I got inspiration from the button string story ...

I loved both the idea of crocheting a button string using my vintage button

and the fact of sewing a little stocking in which I could put the button string.

To make your own pomander,

you’ll need about an ounce of cloves

to cover a medium sized apple.

Push the cloves into the apple.

on her mother’s pomander,

but as for me I decided to add a ribbon to hang
